We exist and will risk our resources to fulfill the Great Commission to share Christ and care with neighbors near and far. - Discipling/ Training/ Equipping.
We will systematically train and empower believers to grow and thrive: - As Christians,
- As members of Ghent Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and
- As Christian leaders.
- Small Groups / Care Ministries / Healing.
Through inclusive small-group involvement and mutual care and prayer, we will bring the encouragement, comfort and healing of Jesus to our leaders and members and our community. - Christian Equality.
Because we recognize that all people are created in God’s own image, we will welcome all God’s children into our congregation, love them and care for and nurture them – with the understanding that our congregation’s culture will change with each new member. Diversity Vision Ghent Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) sets for itself the intentional goal of becoming an ethnically and racially and culturally and generationally diverse congregation as it and its members pursue renewal in Jesus Christ. With this in mind, we will promote training and programs for ourselves and our community that will effectively equip us for this goal and communicate this goal inside and outside the church.
